A Serra de' Conti, in the heart of the land of Verdicchio, held a unique gastronomic event: the Feast of Cicerchia, through which is celebrated a poor legume that for centuries has been part of the food culture of the Marche. The event aims to unite the theme of the culture of food with moments of reflection on biodiversity in agricultural until the discovery of cultural and tourist aspects of the territory. The joyful event takes place in the beautiful historic centre within the walls of the village, a jewel that has kept almost intact the urban medieval structure and is among the towns that have city walls best preserved of the province of Ancona. The full program of events and entertainments always sees protagonists street artists, stornellatori (folk-song singers), storyteller but also artisans, that show and illustrate their traditional "know-how", in peasant culture all knew how to work the wicker or wood, iron or clay. In this occasion is also assigned publicly the "Prize for agribusiness Biodiversity in the Marche", now in its tenth edition, organized by Slow Food Marche established to make known who daily works in the regional territory to restore the centrality of good and clean food, and supports the "knowledge" and "flavours" as an element of local identity. |
