The typical mediaeval hamlet, with its magnificent fourteenth-century fortress, overlooking the valley and the Marche’s coast. In the last week of July, during the Medieval Festivals, Offagna, land of beauty and strength, back to relive the magic of that middle age that still attracts us so much. Since 1988, during this great historical recreation, the burg changes appearance by dressing in a picturesque setting. The downtown streets are full of jesters, peasants, musicians and warriors. An entire week dedicated to the traditions of a distant time wherein there were magic, juggling, warriors and challenges, with performances by hawks in flight, horse races and fireworks, scenes of military life, street entertainment and flag games to the rhythm of drums. Exhibitions with free admission, courses of gothic calligraphy, fairy tales and legends by known theatrical companies, market of arts and crafts, fortune tellers. In taverns, performances of acrobats and jugglers, games between the various neighbourhoods, the flag-wavers and dances accompanied by captivating music of the era.
