DESCRIPTION

The region boasts a beautiful territory with many small burgs, rich in history and culture, traditions and legends. There are 18 hamlets in the Marche recognized among "The most beautiful burgs in Italy" by the National Association of Italian Municipalities. They are places of a suggestive dimension, which refer to a life in balance with the rhythms of the seasons and in harmony with nature, respectful of human needs. The system of villages and smaller historical centres constitutes the historic territorial armour of the rural and mountain areas of the Marche, representing a peculiarity of the region and a heritage of environmental, landscape, historical, architectural great value that because of abandonment or underuse, runs the risk of progressive disappearance.
