The Municipality of Mondavio has obtained the Green Flag, recognition issued by the CIA to the virtuous Municipalities who are committed to the preservation of rural landscapes and the enhancement of local typical productions, environmental sustainability and the fight against the consumption of agricultural land, to improve the living conditions of the operators of the primary sector. Many are the "creative" situations in key sustainable: from the "closed loop" of the spelt, from the field to the pack, to the "nomadic" beekeeping, from agro-catering to organic wine "old" with recycling of barrels; to the educational farm specialized in proper nutrition. There are those associated with the production of honey, propolis and royal jelly, through technological innovations in the country, that of bee venom, cosmetics and wax. And those who choose to cultivate fodder for their own livestock, 100% "OGM free".
