DESCRIPTION
The marchigiana breed is one of the most famous Italian beef cattle breeds. The production of steers of 12-24 months, since 1998, takes advantage of the opportunity to be marketed under the IGP brand “White Steer of Central Apennines”, which establishes through a disciplinary necessary lines techniques so as the production process complies at every stage with the rules established, under Community rules for typical products. The result is the achievement of a food that meets the latest consumer demands: quality production, with designation of origin. The production characteristics of this cattle breed, also subject to selection, are aimed at combining the production of meat with adaptation to different breeding methods and thus to the conditions typical of marginal agricultural areas of Umbria-Marche Apennines, where grazing on natural meadows allows to obtain the best results regarding the quality of the product.
